Jonathan Pythagoras Hsu is a jazz guitarist living in Sonoma, California. Jonathan started playing guitar as a teenager in Texas in the '90s while surrounded by the sounds of alternative rock and Texas blues before moving on to jazz after hearing Joe Pass' Virtuoso Live! album. Jonathan is mostly self-taught on the guitar although he has studied in various settings with Mimi Fox, John Stowell, Peter Bernstein, Bruno Pelletier-Bacquaert, Tru, Terrence Brewer and Will Bernard amongst others. Jonathan's spends his days at his main gig as Co-Founder and General Partner at Tribe Capital, an early stage venture capital firm located in the San Francisco. He performs regularly, as time permits, in the SF Bay Area in various small groups both as sideman and as a leader.
